Would you like your name to appear in history textbooks in four hundred years, listed among the select few who wrote for the 21st Century's Most Significant Publication from its very beginning? Do you want, like our Panda Correspondent, to receive mail from adoring fans in your pigeonhole every day? Or are you looking for newer, friendlier ways to procrastinate?
Whatever your answers, you should contribute to Whisky & Biscuits! So here is a short list of suggestions for those unsure what to submit...
- Travel Reports: have you gone to a different city or country lately/ever? Are you going home over the winter holidays/? We'd really like to read about and see photos from as many places as possible, so that we can daydream about places we haven't visited and imagine what your lives are like outside Cambridge. If you like writing, you can write about the world. If you don't like writing, we like images.
- Photographs! These are how we verify that Pembroke itself actually exists and isn't a fictional entity, but also good for double checking what happened when we drank too much port. One person can't be everywhere and photograph everything, so you should help this blog become a photographic encyclopedia of Pembroke life.
- Recommendations: have you read or written an interesting article? Did you eat a really good sandwich last week? Are you in a play? We'd like to pass these things on to the rest of the world, but it's harder to do that if you don't tell us about them.
- Queries for our columnists: we currently have a Panda Correspondent who is willing to review photographs of pandas, and an Anonymous Advice Correspondent who will solve all your life issues. So if you have problems or pandas, send them in and we'll pass them on to the appropriate person.
As previously mentioned, please send all queries or submissions to akb44 [at] cam.ac.uk.
It would be nice to have submissions particularly over the holidays, since lots of people are leaving Cambridge and won't know how to entertain themselves without daily trips for tea in the GP. It'll also mean you return to Pembroke to find a pigeonhole full of thank you gifts and fan mail!
